(a) the number of scheduled castes candidates enrolled and imparted pre-examination
training for civil service examination during 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, State-wise;
(b) the total amount spent on this training during these two financial years, State-wise;
and
(c) the percentage of successful candidates so trained in the said examination during
the aforesaid period, State-wise?

(a) to (c): The University Grants Commission (UGC) has informed that it has been
providing financial assistance to Central/Deemed/State Universities and affiliated
colleges during XII plan for coaching for entry into services, and not exclusively for civil
services examination for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy
layer)/minorities.
The State wise details of grants released by the UGC under its coaching
schemes during 2014-15 and for coaching for entry into services during 2015-16 are at
Annexure I & II respectively.
