(a) Under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), a budgetary allocation of ?10,000.66 Crore has been made for the year 2019-20 and first instalment has been released to eligible States/ UTs. Further, the planned outlay of JJM in five years is ?3.60 lakh Crore, out of which Central Share is about ?2.08 lakh Crore. After the launch of JJM, a conference of Minister in-charge of rural water supply of various States was held in New Delhi followed by five regional workshops to discuss various aspects of JJM and modalities of the implementation. In addition, regular review of the programme is also held with States/ UTs.
(b) As reported, the number of household connection with Piped Water Supply installed during the last five years under erstwhile National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) [now restructured and subsumed into JJM] in rural areas across country is as below:

(c) Jal Jeevan Missionaims at providing potable water to every rural household through Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) by 2024.
(d) The State-wise fund allocation under JJM including Tamil Nadu for the year 2019-20 is annexed.
