(a) whether the Government is contemplating to formulate any new scheme
for addressing the problem of malnutrition among women and children;
(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the age group of girl child
to be covered under the said scheme; and
(c) the time by which it is likely to be implemented?

(a), (b) and (c) It is proposed to merge the two existing schemes, the Kishori Shakti Yojana and the Nutrition Programme
for Adolescent Girls presently under implementation by the Ministry, and formulate a comprehensive scheme for adolescent
girls in the age group of 11 to 18 years in the country. The details of the Scheme are being worked out.
