Question : Four Laning of NHs 87 and 74

(a) whether the Government proposes four laning of Gulmarga, Ausa, Umraga, Lahir roads and Rampur-Kathgodam NH 87 and Nagina-Kaushipur NH 74;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the funds provided therefor;

(c) whether the land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities have commenced; and

(d) if so, the details and current status thereof including the time limit set for completion of construction of the said roads?

(a) to (d) Four laning of Rampur-Kathgodam section of NH-87 has been approved by Govt. of India at Total Project Cost(T.P.C) of Rs.1628.76 Cr. under NHDP-III for which bids have been invited. Forest Clearance has been accorded by Ministry of Environment & Forest (MOEF) and land acquisition notification under section 3(D) of NH Act 1956 has been published. Similarly, four laning of Nagina-Kashipur section of NH-74 is approved by Govt. of India at T.P.C of Rs. 2535.54 Cr. under NHDP-IV for which bids have been invited. Forest clearance is in process and to be accorded by MOEF. Notification under section 3 (D) of NH Act 1956 for land acquisition has been published.The four-laning works are targeted for completion by 2019. As far as four-laning of Gulmarga, Ausa, Umraga, Lahir roads are concerned, there is no such proposal received from State Governments.
