(a) the projects undertaken with the assistance of World Bank and Asian Development Bank in Karnataka and Tamilnadu;
(b) the total funds provided by the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, project-wise;
(c) whether the Government have effectively monitored the progress of these projects;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the reason therefor?

(a) & (b) The details of State sector projects being implemented in Karnataka and Tamilnadu are given in the Annexure. Besides there are multi-State and Central sector projects in which Karnataka and Tamilnadu are also participating.
(c) & (d) The monitoring of the projects is being done both at the level of State and Central Governments. Apart from the Project Authorities and Project Monitoring units of State Governments and Administrative Ministries of the Central Government, the projects are also monitored through the concerned Credit Divisions and the Project Management Unit in the Department of Economic Affairs.
(e) Does not arise in view of reply to parts (c) and (d) above.
