(a) whether the Union Government has received proposals from various State Governments/Union Territories for upgradation of State Agricultural Universities to Central Agricultural University in the last three years; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government on the said proposals and the total amount sanctioned by the Government for the said purpose, State/UT-wise?

(a) & (b): No such proposal has been received from State Governments/Union Territories for upgradation of State Agricultural Universities(SAUs) to Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs) in last three years.
However, the proposals from individuals including members of Parliament for upgradation of SAUs to CAUs have been received and suitably replied after due consideration.
