(a) the details of ‘Bal Bhawans’ presently located in the
country, State-wise;
(b) whether there is any proposal to construct more
‘Bal Bhawans’ in the country for the benefit of the
children;
(c) if so, the details thereof, State-wise, location-
wise; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) A statement showing State-wise numbers of Bal Bhavans
affiliated to the National Bal Bhavan, is enclosed in the
Annexure.
(b) to (d) National Bal Bhavan has formulated a scheme for
providing financial support to establish Bal Bhavans in
States where there are none, and Mini Bal Bhavans in the
North Eastern Region and Sikkim.
