Question : THEFT OF PARCEL AT NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION



(a) whether the Government have an account of the parcels unloaded at New Delhi railway station during the last three years;

(b) if so, the number of parcels delivered to the parties and the number out of them stolen;

(c) the number of cases of parcel theft registered by the railway police;

(d) the compensation amount railways had paid during the last three years against these thefts; and

(e) the steps taken to stop such incidents in future?

(a) Number of parcels unloaded at New Delhi Railway Station during the last three years is as under:

(c) All parcel package theft cases have been registered by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and not with the Government Railway Police, Delhi.

(d) No compensation has been paid during the last three years against these thefts.

(e) RPF staff have been deputed round the clock on each point & every platform of New Delhi Station to take care of the parcels.
