Question : Funds for Urban basic Amenities in Maharashtra

(a) whether the Union Government has allocated any funds to State of Maharashtra for implementing the schemes for providing urban basic amenities in the State;

(b) if so, the details thereof indicating the funds allocated/released and utilized for the said purpose during each of the last three years and the current year; and

(c) the details of works done from the said funds, in the concerned areas?

(a) to (c): Yes, Sir. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) facilitates and assists States/Union Territories (UTs) including Maharashtra, through its Missions/Schemes in development of cities and towns covered under these Missions/Schemes. These Schemes support providing urban basic amenities like – water supply, sewerage, parks, community toilets, etc. Funds released to Maharashtra and utilized by the State for these urban development Schemes during the last three years and current year and work done are in Annex.
