(a) whether the Government propose to formulate any scheme at village level for
welfare of poor farmers to ensure them employment so that their migration to
urban areas could be checked;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the time by which this scheme is likely to be introduced; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) No, Sir.
(b) to (d) A new Scheme, namely, Jai Prakash Rozgar Guarantee Yojana (JPRGY) is being
formulated to provide employment guarantee to the unemployed in the most distressed districts of
the country. This scheme is proposed to be introduced during the current financial year.
