(a) the cases relating to rehabilitation of persons displaced by coal mines pending with the coal companies;
(b) the details thereof, company-wise;
(c) the number of cases settled by the companies so far, company-wise; and
(d) the time by which the remaining cases are likely to be settled?

(a) to (d) As reported by Goal India Limited, rehabilitation of project affected people is a continuous process in which rehabilitation of displaced families is done in phases in accordance CIL`s Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) Policy, 2000. The subsidiary companies make all efforts to settle the cases within the minimum possible time and start mining operations only after affected persons are rehabilitated. As per records available, company-wise cases settled as on 1st March, 2005 are as under:
