Question : ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FOR RAJASTHAN

(a) whether Rajasthan has been allocated less funds under the Central Road Fund during the years 2000-01, 2001-02, and 2003-04;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the balance amount of the fund get lapsed; and

(d) if not, the reasons for not carrying forward the said balance to the successive years?

(a)&(b) Funds accrued to the State of Rajasthan under Central Road Fund (CRF) and its release in 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2003-04 was as under:

Funds are released based on the progress of the sanctioned works and utilization certificates received from the State Government. In 2001-02 and 2003-04 there was less utilization of fund. In 2000-01 there was less release because CRF Scheme was revamped in 2000-01 and there was not enough Bank of Sanctions (BOS) in this year.

(c) No, Sir.

(d) During 2002-03 and 2006-07 funds were released more than the accrual.
