(a) whether the Government is aware that special schemes for higher and technical education meant for poor students are not being implemented properly;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(c) the concrete steps taken/being taken by the Government for proper implementation of these schemes?

(a)to (c): The Government is committed to make higher and technical education accessible to all sections of society including poor students. The Department of Higher Education as well as other Ministries implement scholarship schemes and interest subsidy schemes for the benefit of such students. The schemes are implemented as per instant guidelines of respective implementing agencies. For the scholarship/ interest subsidy schemes run by the Department of Higher Education (DHE), the amounts are disbursed to the beneficiary account through Direct Benefit Transfer with Public Finance Management System (DBT with PFMS) integration to ensure proper implementation.
