(c)and (d) : As per the trade data of DGCI&S imports from China during the year 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 were US$ 17.4 billion, US$ 27.1 billion and US$ 32.4 billion respectively. Our exports to China during these three years were US$ 8.3 billion, US$ 10.8 billion and US$ 9.3 billion respectively. Although during the year 2009, our exports to China declined by 13.9%, there is no drop in bilateral trade during last three years.The purpose of anti-dumping measures is not to restrict imports but to counteract trade distortion caused by dumping and the consequential injury to the domestic industry.
