(a) the details of the market share of bio-pesticides in the pesticide market of the country;
(b) whether the Government is contemplating to increase the use of bio-pesticides due to adverse effect of chemical pesticides on the crops, livestocks and human health; and
(c) if so, the details thereof along with the various steps taken by the Government to encourage the use of bio-pesticides during the last three years?

(b) & (c): Yes Madam, the Department is propagating the use of bio-pesticides. The Registration Committee (RC), inter alia, has simplified the guidelines for data submission and is providing provisional registration for bio-pesticides. In addition, Farmers Field Schools (FFSs) are being organized to sensitize farmers, inter alia, on bio-pesticides as an alternative to chemical pesticide. In the last three years, a total of 2043 FFSs have been organized.
