(a) whether studies undertaken by Planning Commission as well as private agencies have indicated that only 20 paise out of every rupee allotted reaches the poor through Public Distribution System(PDS);
(b) if so, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the remedial steps being taken by the Government in this regard

(a): No, Sir. Planning Commission has not conducted any study which leads to a conclusion that only 20 paise out of every rupee reaches the poor through the Public Distribution System. This Ministry is also not aware of any such study conducted by any Private agency.
