(a) whether the Cable Television Network (Regulation) Amendment Act, 2000 was
challenged in the Delhi High Court on September 27, 2000;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(c) the future course of action proposed to be taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): Yes, Sir.
(b) & (c): The Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution in the Hon`ble High
Court of Delhi had prayed for immediate stay and quashing, as unconstitutional, of
Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Amendment Act, 2000 and the Cable
Television Networks Amendment Rules, 2000. The Hon`ble Court dismissed the matter
on 10th October, 2000.
