(a) whether the Union Government has prepared a new Tribal Policy;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps taken/proposed to be taken to bring the Scheduled Tribes at par with the rest
of the population in terms of human development index, socio-economic development and basic
infrastructure facilities etc.?

(a) to (c) Yes, Madam. Ministry of Tribal Affairs has formulated a draft National Tribal
Policy which addresses the issues relating to the holistic socio-economic development and
welfare of the Scheduled Tribes of the country.
