Question : Skills Build Platform

(a) whether the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has launched the Skills Build Platform in collaboration with IBM for enriching skills in Information and Technology (IT);

(b) the details of the students registered, State-wise under this advanced diploma;

(c) the details of the provisions made to monitor the implementation of this initiative in the State of Andhra Pradesh; and

(d) the manner in which the partners of IBM like CodeDoor, SkillSoft, and Coorpacademy can contribute to making skill build more successful and the roadmap being followed with these organizations?

(a) Yes Sir. Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with IBM under CSR, offers two years Advanced Diploma in “Information Technology, Networking and Cloud computing (NSQF Level-6). IBM''s SkillsBuild Platform is an online learning platform, launched on Nov 4, 2019 to support the advanced diploma course in cloud computing to enrich the skills of the trainees.

(b) The Advanced Diploma program on IT, Networking and Cloud computing is offered in 16 National Skills Training Institutes (NSTIs) under DGT across the country. The details of the student enrolments state wise are given in the Annexure.
(c) Currently, this course is not offered in the state of Andhra Pradesh. However, the students of Andhra Pradesh can avail the course being offered in NSTI of nearby States.

(d) SkillsBuild is a digital online learning platform launched by IBM under CSR linked with Bharatskillslearning portal of DGT (https://bharatskills.gov.in) which provides Digital, live-virtual and face-to-face training which includes career fit assessments to enter the workforce.
DGT engages only with IBM to provide an experiential learning experience to students through the best content and a single-entry point for users be made available on Bharatskills through SkillBuild. However, IBM has developed SkillsBuild in collaboration with its partners, inter-alia CodeDoor, Coorpacademy, Credly, MyInnerGenius, SkillSoft.

Feedback mechanism from students between NSTIs and IBM has been developed to make the content more relevant and dynamic
