(a) whether the Ministry has any plan to set up a new commission for air passengers safety in view of increasing threat of flight hijack;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the steps being taken by the Government thereon; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c) There is no such proposal to create a commission for air passengers'' safety in view of increasing threat of flight hijacking. However, Anti-Hijacking Contingency Plan is considered adequate to handle hijacking situations in India.
