(a) The Ministry of Women and Child Development implements Swadhar Greh Scheme which targets the women victims of unfortunate circumstances. Under the Scheme financial assistance is provided for construction and rent of the homes. No home has been constructed in the State of Delhi, and the State wise list of Homes constructed under Swadhar Greh Scheme is as under:

A Home for Widows with a capacity of 1000 inmates has been constructed at Vrindavan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
(b) to (d) The Ministry provides financial assistance to the States/UTs on sharing pattern for construction and maintenance of Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and Swadhar Grehs respectively. The number of Children Homes constructed under Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) and funds released during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise is at Annexure- I. The details of fund released to the States under Swadhar Greh Scheme during the last three years and current year is at Annexure – II.
