(a) Nuclear power is clean and environmental friendly source of base load power available 24x7. It has huge potential and can provide long term energy security to the country in a sustainable manner. Nuclear capacity expansion programme is one of the means to achieve country’s transition in meeting the goal of net zero economy.
(b) The present installed nuclear power capacity of 6780 MW will increase to 22480 MW by 2031 on progressive completion of projects under construction and accorded sanction.
