(a) whether the Government is considering to launch the revamped Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) and seme new saving instrument programmes for the gir child as well for the physically challenged person;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the lime of which it is likely to be launched; and

(d) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to make the schemes more competitive from private players?

(a)(b)&(C): Yes Sir,Honble Finance Minister, in his Budget Speech, has announced to reintroduce Kisan Vikas Patra and a new mall saving sehene to cater the requirements of education and marriage of the uiri child. Benefits of smail svinpgs schemes are equally available to all persons including physically challenged. Kisan Viras Patra one me has reintroduced and scheme for Girl Child h3S been forrriLilated and hab been notified

(d) interest rates on Small Savings Schemes are benchmarked to the average and Government Securities.

Central and State Governments take various treasures from time to time to promote and popularise small saving schemes through print and electronic media as well as holding seminars meetings and providing training to the various agencies involved in mobilising deposits under various smali savings schemes.
