(a) whether the Government has launched a scheme for the mapping and survey of villages with a view to studying the impact and application of science and technology in rural areas;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the achievements made through such an initiative so far, State/UT-wise;
(d) whether the Government also proposes to cover rural areas of Rajasthan under the said scheme particularly those situated near the international border area; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?
(a) SVAMITVA scheme has been launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister, on 24th April 2020 on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day under Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR), which is a central sector scheme aiming to provide the “record of rights” to village house hold owners possessing houses in inhabited areas in villages and issuance of property card to property owners, as a pilot phase.
(b) Survey of India is technology partner for implementing SVAMITVA scheme in the following two components.
1. Large scale mapping for Abadi area using UAV/ Drone.
2. Establishment of CORS (Continuously operating Reference stations).
