Question : INVOLVEMENT OF POLITICAL REPRESENTATIVES IN IMPLEMENTATION OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES



(a) whether the Government have decided to involve the political representatives in the implementation and monitoring of different urban development schemes;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the time by which it is likely to be implemented; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a)to(c): Urban Development is a State subject and Centrally Sponsored Schemes are also being implemented by the State Governments. Therefore, it is for the State Governments to consider involvement of political representatives in the implementation and monitoring of different urban development schemes.
