Question : METAL WASTED BY NEGLIGENCE IN HEC



(a) whether Metal worth more than Rs.20 lakh has been wasted recently due to negligence of the Management in the Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, Ranchi;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the action taken against the officials found guilty in this regard;

(d) the measures being taken to stop such wastage in future; and

(e) the details of such loss in the Corporation during the last three years, year-wise?

(a) No, Sir. No such wastage of metal worth Rs.20 lakh has been reported in HEC.

(b) & (c) Not applicable.

(d) The system of liquid metal preparation and pouring has been made incorporating all technological measures so that wastage of material is avoided. Strict technological discipline is adhered to in this respect.

(e) No such loss of metal has been reported during the last five years.
