STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PART (a) to (c) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. †*53 FOR ANSWERED ON 19.12.2017 REGARDING PROCESSING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS.
(a) to (c): The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is implementing Central Sector PRADHAN MANTRI KISAN SAMPADA YOJANA for promotion and development of food processing sector in the country including Jammu & Kashmir, with following schemes:
(i) Mega Food Parks;
(ii) Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure;
(iii) Creation/Expansion of Food Processing and Preservation Capacities;
(iv) Infrastructure for Agro-Processing Clusters;
(v) Creation of Backward and Forward Linkages;
(vi) Food Safety and Quality Assurance Infrastructure; and
(vii) Human Resources and Institutions.
