(a) the number of houses built so far under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Bihar, city-wise;
(b) the name of cities in Bihar where such houses are being built;
(c) the number of people got benefited under the said Yojana, city-wise; and
(d) whether the Government has reviewed the implementation of urban housing project in Bihar and if so, the details thereof?
(a) to (c): City-wise details of number of houses sanctioned, grounded for construction, completed and occupied in the State of Bihar under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) Mission are at Annexure.
(d): An Inter-Ministerial Committee viz. Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) constituted under the Chairpersonship of Secretary, Housing and Urban Affairs is an important decision making body, which overall reviews and monitors the progress of PMAY-U Mission on a regular basis. CSMC in its recent meeting has reviewed that about 50% of demand of houses is yet to be proposed by the State Government of Bihar, which needs to be sanctioned before March, 2020 so that completion of houses could be completed within Mission period i.e. by March, 2022. Also, the pace of houses grounded for construction are to be expedited.
