(a) whether it is a fact that CGHS dispensary at Netaji Nagar which caters to a large number of CGHS beneficiaries does not have a laboratory while other CGHS dispensaries catering to a lesser number of beneficiaries do have the laboratory facility; and
(b) if so, the reasons therefor and the criterion on which such facilities are sanctioned?

(a): Yes, Sir.
(b): The beneficiaries of a number of nearby CGHS dispensaries are attached to a particular CGHS laboratory for providing laboratory services. Therefore, the selection for locating the CGHS laboratory in a particular dispensary is based upon factors like the centrality of the location of the particular dispensary to enable easy access to all the beneficiaries including the beneficiaries who are already attached to the said dispensary.
