(a) the number of projects of Government of Karnataka pending before the National
Horticulture Mission (NHM) for consideration and approval since 2002 till September, 2005;
(b) the details of the projects and the decision taken thereon during the said period; and
(c) the details of the projects being considered by the NHM for development of horticulture
and introducing modern technology in the State?

(a)&(b): The Annual Action Plan for 2005-06 of Government of Karnataka was approved by
the National Horticulture Mission (NHM) in September, 2005. No project proposal of
Government of Karnataka is pending approval of NHM.
(c): The activities being implemented by the National Horticulture Mission in the State of
Karnataka include production of quality planting material through nurseries and Tissue Culture
Units, coverage of area under horticultural crops through establishment of new gardens in
potential belts, use of modern technologies like green house cultivation besides creation of
infrastructure facilities for post harvest management and marketing of horticultural produce.
