of land under the Bharat Nirman Yojana;
(b) If so, the details thereof and the parameters within which the said scheme is
to be implemented; and

REGARDING IRRIGATION UNDER BHARAT NIRMAN.
(a) to (c)Bharat Nirman envisages creation of one crore hectare of irrigation potential through
(i) completion of on-going major & medium irrigation projects,
(ii) minor irrigation schemes,
(iii) extension, renovation and modernization (ERM) of major and medium projects and
(iv) repair, renovation and restoration of water bodies. The details are annexed.
The projects / schemes for creation of irrigation potential are taken up by State Governments
from their own resources according to their priorities. Government of India has enhanced
allocation for grants under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) to provide
support to State Governments.
