(a) whether the Government is considering to make expansion of airplane repair facility at many of the airports in the country by Air India Engineering Services Limited;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the expansion plan will help to grab the increasing maintenance, repair and overhaul business; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) has Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Trivandrum and Nagpur. Apart from this it also offers Line Maintenance facility at several airports. AIESL has applied for seeking Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approvals for its various facilities in the above locations apart from adding capabilities within the available resources.
