(a) the reasons for not undertaking the construction work of the sanctioned Kendriya Vidyalaya in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh (UP);
(b) the details and the number of sanctioned schools running in other buildings in the State along with the conditions of these buildings as on date; and
(c) the action taken/proposed to be taken in this regard?

(a) The Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh was opened during Academic Year 2014-15 and made functional on 31.10.2014 in the temporary accommodation provided by the District Administration. Construction work of the permanent school building has been entrusted to Uttar Pradesh State Construction and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. in July, 2015. Normally, construction agency commences the work in about 3 to 6 months time after completion of pre-construction activities.
(b) & (c) At present, 22 KVs in Uttar Pradesh, are running in other buildings i.e. accommodation provided by sponsoring authorities and the condition of these buildings is good and safe. The details are annexed. Construction of permanent buildings for KVs is a continuous activity depending upon identification of suitable land, completion of lease formalities in favour of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan by the sponsoring authorities, availability of requisite resources etc.
