Question : LAND ALLOTMENT TO POLITICAL PARTIES



(a) whether National and State Level Political Parties having specified representation in the Parliament have been allotted land for construction of Central Office in Delhi;

(b) if so, the list of the allotments made so far;

(c) whether some Political Parties have already been allotted land on Deendayal Uapadhyaya Marg New Delhi;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) whether any other Political party had also applied for allotment of land on Deendayal Upadhaya Marg, New Delhi;

(f) if so, the details thereof; and

(g) the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a): Yes, Sir. Allotment of land has been made on the basis of the policy of the Government dated 13.7.2006.

(b)to(d): Based on the said policy, land has been allotted to Rashtriya Janta Dal and All India Congress Committee for Indian National Congress. Rashtriya Janta Dal has been allotted 1904 Sq. M. at Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg and All India Congress Committee has been allotted 8093.72 Sq. Mtrs. (2 Acres) at Pocket 9, Rouse Avenue.

(e): Yes, Sir.

(f)&(g): Applications for allotment of land at Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg have been received from Communist Party of India (Marxist), Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party and Samajwadi Party. The process of land allotment ordinarily involves consideration by the Screening Committee based on various aspects including availability of land, concurrence by Finance Division and approval by the competent authority. The process has been initiated.
