ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYURVEDA,
YOGA & NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY
(SHRI SHRIPAD YESSO NAIK)
(a) to (e): Public Health is a State subject. Setting up of AYUSH Wellness Centres comes under purview of State/UT Governments. However, Central Government is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) in the country including Maharashtra under which there is a provision of financial assistance to States/UTs for setting up of AYUSH Wellness Centres including Yoga & Naturopathy. During 2017-18, Rs. 114.00 lakhs has been approved under NAM for setting up of 19 Yoga Wellness Centres in the State of Maharashtra. State Government of Maharashtra has not submitted the physical and financial progress in this regard.
