(a) Yes sir.
(b) The Government of Andhra Pradesh has submitted proposals for
inclusion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pranahita-Chevella Sujala Sravanthi
Project and Indira Sagar Polavaram Project in the scheme of National
Projects in July,2010 and April,2009 respectively.
(c) The proposal of Indira Sagar Polavaram Project will require
clearance of Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC), High Powered Steering
Committee for National Project and finally clearance of the Union Cabinet.
The State Government was requested to submit the proposal of
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pranahita-Chevella Sujala Sravanthi Project for
inclusion under the scheme of national project after obtaining investment
clearance from the Planning Commission.
A new project is declared as national project after ascertaining
its eligibility for assistance and availability of funds and thereafter
obtaining the approval of Union cabinet.
