(a) whether the Government has introduced any scheme for setting up of Indian Trade Centres
abroad for motivating and channelising NRI investments and Foreign Direct Investment (FDIs);
and
(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the number of Trade Centres setup/proposed to be set up
in various countries, Country-wise?

(a)&(b): The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion is implementing a Central Sector Scheme
namely ‘Scheme for Investment Promotion’ during the 11th Plan. Under this scheme, there is no
proposal for setting up of Indian Trade Centres abroad for motivating and channelising NRI
investments and Foreign Direct Investment (FDIs).
