Question : Centrally Sponsored Schemes of Ayush

(a) the AYUSH schemes/programmes currently being implemented by the Government across the country including Telangana, State-wise and stream-wise;

(b) the funds allocated/financial assistance extended for the implementation of the said schemes during the last three years, State/UT-wise and year-wise;

(c) the targets set for these Centrally Sponsored Schemes along with the success achieved in the implementation of these schemes;

(d) whether these schemes are being operationalised/ implemented within the prescribed time schedule; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a)& (b) Ministry of Ayush is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) though States/UTs including Telanganafor development and promotion of AYUSH systems. Grant-in-aid is provided to States/UTs as per the proposals submitted by the State/UT Governments including Telanganathrough State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs). The funds allocated/released as per the proposal received from States/UTs including Telanganaduring the last three years, State/UT-wise and year -wise is furnished at Annexure-I.

(c)Under NAM, grant-in-aid is being provided to State/UT Governments for different activities as per their proposed State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs). Since implementation of the programme comes under the purview of State/UT Governments, no target has been fixed by Government of India for different States/UTs. However, resource pool with respect to NAM has been communicated to each State/UT Governments as per the defined criteria of NAM guidelines. Accordingly, States/UTs are required to prepare their State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) as per their requirements in accordance with NAM guidelines. The status of major activities supported under NAM from 2014-15 to 2020-21 is furnished at Annexure-II.
(d) & (e) Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM) was approved by the Union Cabinet in 2014 for implementing through States/UTs. The NAM was further approved for continuationand on 14.07.2021 Union Cabinet further extended the implementation of NAM in the States /UTs up to 2025-26. Under NAM, Ministry of Ayush has extended financial support to States/UTs as per the proposals reflected in State Annual Action Plan (SAAPs). However, implementation of the activities comes under the purview of respective State/UT Governments.
