Question : Construction of National Highways

(a) whether the Union Government has received proposals from various State Governments for construction of National Highways during the last three years and the current year;
(b) if so, the details thereof indicating approved and pending proposals, State-wise;
(c) the details of targets fixed by the Government for construction of National Highways during the said period, State-wise;
(d) the total length of roads constructed/proposed to be constructed during 2019-20; and
(e) the funds earmarked/released/utilised for the purpose during the said period, State-wise?

(a) & (b) Details of proposals approved for execution by State PWDs, State-wise during the last three years and current year up to Dec. 2019 are at Annexure-I.

(c) & (d) Target of construction of NHs during the last three years and current year is tabulated below. Further, length of 6940 km of NHs has been constructed in the current Financial Year up to December 2019.
