(a): As per U-DISE data of Ministry of Human Resource Development for the year 2017-18,
there are 2100 primary schools, 173 Upper primay schools (grades 1 to 8), 73 Higher Secondary
Schools (grades 1 to 12), 918 Upper primary only with grades 6 to 8, 7 Higher Secondary with
grades 6 to 12 and 36 Secondary/ Senior Secondary with grades 1 to 10. There are 27 Aashram
primary schools, 7 Aashram Upper primary schools, 2 Aashram Secondary and 2 Aashram
Higher Secondary schools. Also there are 3 Aashram Secondary/ Senior Secondary (grades 6 to
10), 111 Aashram Secondary/ Senior Secondary (grades 9 & 10) and 159 Aashram Higher
Secondary schools (grades 9 to 12).
(b): Most of the States have developed guidelines /instructions to provide safe
environment for girls so that they may pursue and complete their education in a fearless
environment. MHRD has also issued a set of Guidelines on Safety and Security of
children vide letter No. 10-11/2014-EE.4 dated 9th October 2014 and these guidelines
are available on the official website of Ministry of Human Resource Development

(c): As informed by State Government of Maharashtra, the sanctioned strength of
Principals, teachers and vacancies in Raigad Lok Sabha constituency are as under:-

As informed by State Government of Maharashtra, vacancies of teachers are filled
by ‘Pavitra Portal’ under central process and vacancies of Head Master are filled by
promotion of teachers. All administrative matters including recruitment of teachers is the
subject matter of State Government and Central Government has no role in it.
