(a) whether the Government proposes to develop/upgrade National Highway No.15 from Pathankot to
Kandla into four lane;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the time by which the said Highway is likely to be upgraded into four lane; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor ?

(b) &(c): Does not arise.
(d) The stretch of NH-15 from Kandla to Radhanpur has already been four laned and
Pathankot-Amritsar has been awarded for four-lanning.On the remaining stretches traffic
intensity does not justify four–lanning.Therefore,the Government has proposed to upgrade
NH-15 from Amritsar to Shriganganagar to 2 lane with paved shoulder and to maintain the
stretches from Ganganagar to Radhanpur 2 lane.
