(a) to (c): According to the information furnished by the
University Grants Commission (UGC), the UGC has set up as many as
6 Inter University Centres (IUCs), out of which the following 3
IUCs are singularly devoted for frontline disciplines:-
IUCs Objective
Nuclear Science Centre, New Delhi Nuclear Science oriented research
Inter University Centre for State-of-the-art Astronomy & Astrophysics, Pune instrumentation for research in astronomy
Inter University Consortium for Research based on higher Department of Atomic Energy education in the area of
(DAE) facilities, Indore utilization of reactors and other accelerators.
