(a) whether the Government has received any proposal for amalgamation of the Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in the country including merger of all associate banks;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government consulted all Stakeholders including bank unions / representatives of the associate banks which have opposed such a move in this regard;
(d) if so, the details thereof along with the steps taken / being taken to protect the interests of the employees of the subsidiary banks; and
(e) the time by which a final decision is likely to be taken by the Government in this regard?
