Question : EMPLOYEES STOCK OPTION PLAN

(a) whether the Government have been considering seriously for introduction of Employees Stock Option Plan in Public Sector Undertakings in which disinvestment is done in future;

(b) if so, the merits and advantages of adopting this Plan;

(c) the decision taken in the matter; and

(d) the PSUs in which the Stock option Plan has already been introduced and how the plan is working in favour of employees interests there?

(a) yes, Sir.

(b) This plan would be one of the steps of the Government towards fulfilling its commitment to protect the interests of workers in PSUs subjected to disinvestment.

(c) The matter is under consideration of the Government.

(d) Information is being collected.
