As far as three Central Government Hospitals in Delhi i.e. Safdarjung, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) and Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) and Associated Hospitals are concerned, there is no shortage of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultra Sound (USG) and other medical equipments. The number of MRI machines available in these Central Government hospitals and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi are as under:

The waiting time for the patients to avail MRI tests in AIIMS, New Delhi and other Central Government Hospitals in Delhi are as under:
AIIMS
For the indoor-patients, the MRI is carried out within 72 hours. For casualty/emergency patients, the MRI is done within 2 to 4 hours. For routine outdoor patients, the waiting period is 1 month in case of Cardio Radiology, 9 months for Neuro Radiology and 9-12 months for Radio Diagnosis.
RML Hospital
The minimum waiting time for MRI test is one week for outdoor patient and 2-3 days for indoor patients; however the urgent cases of MRI are done immediately.
Safdarjung Hospital
Waiting time for indoor patients is maximum 2-3 days, The Out Patient waiting time is maximum 4 months.
LHMC & Associated Hospitals
Waiting time for in-patients is 01 to 07 days. For out-patients waiting time is 01 week to 06 months.
