(a) the target date set for the completion of Haridaspur-Paradeep rail line in Orissa;
(b) the estimated cost of the project and the funds allocated for that project so far;
(c) the progress of the project made as on date; and
(d) the steps taken to expedite the construction of that project?

(a) No target date of completion of the project has yet been fixed.
(b)The latest anticipated cost of the project is Rs.30 1.64 crore. The expenditure incurred upto 31.03.2001 is Rs.1.4.53 crore. The outlay provided during 2001-02 is Rs.20 crore.
(c) & (d) The final location survey has been completed. Preliminary works like soil investigation,
construction of offices etc is in progress. Land acquisition proceedings have also been taken up and 52 acres of land have so far been handed over by the State Government. The work is being regulated as per the availability of resources.
