(a)& (b): Yes, Sir.Schedule I of the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Second Ordinance, 2014 contains a total number of 204 coal mines. The 42 mines which were under production /ready for production are included in Schedule II and 68 coal mines have been included in Schedule III. Theallotment process for 43 numbers of Schedule II and Schedule III coal mines has already started with the publication of Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) on 18-02-2015.
(c): A total number of 107 online applications and 120 offline supporting documents have been received in respect of allotment of these 43 Schedule II and III coal mines. However, applications received online followed by offline supporting documents have only been considered.
(d): The Allotment Document issued by Nominated Authority on 18-02-2015 prescribes the following criteria for allotment of coal mines :
(i) Requirement of coal for power generation capacity coming up in the State till the year 2017.
(ii) Proximity of the end use plant from the coal mine.
(iii) In case, the Applicant is owned by a coal bearing State Government, relaxation from the above norms may be considered to encourage setting up of End Use Plant(s) close to pit-heads.
(e): Issuance of allotment order for the aforesaid 43 coal mines is scheduled to be completed by 28th March, 2015.
