(a) whether the Government has launched the National Hydrogen Mission;

(c) whether the said Mission will help India to become a global hub for manufacturing of hydrogen fuel cells technologies across the value chain and if so, the details thereof;

(a) to (e)In her Budget Speech on 1 February 2021, the Finance Minister of India announced that it was proposed to launch a Hydrogen Energy Mission in 2021-22 for generating hydrogen from green power sources. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is working to develop the National Hydrogen Energy Mission. The mission is likely to include measures for developing India into a global hub for manufacturing using cutting-edge hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
