(a) number of women candidates who cleared UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) in the past five years;
(b) whether the Government has conducted any assessment with regard to the service being a male dominated area; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to promote women participation and success in CSE?

(b) & (c): The Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and therefore women candidates are encouraged to apply and participate in Civil Services Examination. Further, women candidates are exempted from payment of fee while applying for the Civil Services Examination.
