Question : SCHEMES FOR MODERNISATION OF TRADITIONAL INDUSTRIES



(a): the schemes being implemented by the Government for the modernization of traditional industries and the manner in which these schemes are proving beneficial to traditional industry;

(b): the amount provided to each State and Union Territory in the form of loan and grant for modernization of these industries during the Tenth Five Year Plan period till date; and

(c): the year- wise and industry-wise funds provided particularly to Rajasthan?

(a): In keeping with the declaration in the National Common Minimum Programme and the announcement in the July 2004 budget speech of Finance Minister, the draft of a scheme titled the `Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries` has been circulated for comments of all concerned, prior to approval and implementation during 2005-06. The gross 10th Plan outlay for the Scheme can be stated after it is finally approved.

(b)and(c): In view of the reply to part (a), the questions do not arise.
